Nitido does not collect, transmit or sell any personal data.
What Nitido does
Nitido makes websites easier to read for people with visual impairments: it fixes contrast, enlarges and spaces text, and offers a reading lens. All changes happen only on your computer, inside the browser.
Stored data
Nitido only stores your settings: chosen levels and options, the list of sites where you turned it off, and the menu background and language. This data:
- stays in your browser;
- if you use Firefox or Chrome sync, it is copied to your other devices by the browser itself, under Mozilla’s or Google’s rules;
- never reaches the author of Nitido or anyone else.
What Nitido does not do
- It does not record the sites you visit.
- It does not read or send page content, forms or passwords.
- It uses no analytics, cookies, ads or third-party services.
- It does not connect to any server.
Why it asks for these permissions
- Access to websites: needed to change colours and text of the pages you open. Changes stay on your screen.
- Storage: needed to remember your settings.
“Support me” button
The button opens the PayPal page in a new tab. Nitido sends no data to PayPal. If you donate, PayPal’s privacy policy applies.
